Water Ingress Detection & Dewatering System HOWID SOLAS regulation XII / 12 is adopted by IMO's MSC to improve safety onboard bulk carriers. The regulation requires all bulk carriers to be fitted with a water ingress detection system. Audible and visual alarms to be provided on the bridge in case of water detection in cargo holds and spaces including compartments forward of collision bulkhead.

System Features: - Combined water ingress detection & Dewatering system - Continuous monitoring of water level - Alarm functions as specified in SOLAS - Detecting of water ingress rate - Remote control of dewatering valves - Monitoring and remote control of SOLAS II-1/11.4 valve position		Hoppe HOWID-System is provide for installation on bulk carrier to fulfil SOLAS regulation XII/12 and XII/13.Type approval for complete system by GL is available, under preparation for other main classification societies.
